Some Veterans Are Pushing for a Fifth Star to Be Awarded to General David Petraeus

Two veterans are hoping to collect 10,000 signatures that they can send to congress to petition for a fifth star to be awarded to General David Petraeus. Only ten times in the history of The United States has a fifth star ever been awarded to a general. Apparently, General Petraeus may succeed Michael Mullen as the military’s senior officer. Some say that General Petraeus may run for president at some time in the future. Surely, history books will write about these individuals in the future, if they have not done so already.
