Afghanistan has maybe had some successes. The economy might be rebounding. Right? Iran is still doing its thing. So is North Korea. Not much notable news has seemed to have been created lately. Health reform may or may not pass. Poverty is still a problem in Africa. India is still a democracy. China still violates basic human rights. Drugs are still illegal. The world keeps rotating and moving around the sun. Kepler is out there looking for exoplanets. The Internet keeps expanding. Smart phone market penetration is probably increasing. Is humanity on the right track? What needs to change? What should be done? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…

Nothing to Say

Not today…

About Aikido

It seems to me that there are different sorts of Aikido. There is functional Aikido, and then there is philosophical Aikido, and then there are mixtures of the two.

It is my understanding that the founder of Aikido M. Ueshiba intended Aikido to be a way for all humans to create peace on Earth. To create a Heaven on Earth, perhaps. Could Yoga be used in this same way? Maybe. I don’t know. Could Christianity?

Also, in Aikido, it is my understanding the M. Ueshiba intended Aikido to be a way for the body and the mind to become one… to unify body and mind. Also, I think it has been said by I forgot who that in Aikido, and perhaps just in reality in general, that the BODY is the visible part of the MIND. So what are the implications of that? Who knows? Oh well. I find it fun to think about. Please feel free to take this all with a grain of salt…

Here is some conjecture…

All done. Maybe I will bother to type it out later.

More guns? More food? More technology? What does society need? More patience? More religion? More cars? Less pollution? Less marketing? More wikis? Less public transportation? More motorcycles? More solar power? More wind energy? More Bloom Boxes? More biofuels?

Maybe all of this. Maybe none. Oh well.

On Improving Society

So what qualifies as improving society? Helping humans to be happier? Helping humans to be healthier? Empowering humans? Inspiring humans? Helping to increase the average human life span? Perhaps we should all think about this.

It appears the there is some optimism about Afghanistan. Iraq still seems largely quiet for the most part perhaps…

There is a lot of coordinated drone attacks in Pakistan is seems…

And Iran seems to keep digging itself in a deeper hole.

This year it seems shall be an interesting one.

And… the economy seems to be perking up a little bit…

Oh well.

If humans could fly in cars that travel at speeds of mach 4, that would be neat. If humans could find a way to travel faster than the speed of light in space-ships… that would be neat. If humans could eliminate poverty, that would be neat. If humans could eliminate aging… that would be neat. If humans could eradicate ego-dystonic homelessness, that would be neat. That is all I shall write at this time, for now.

Oh well.

How? Theoretically?

True Value

What is “true” value? Monetary transations take place all the time… so what is… _real_ value?

Meh. It’s probably subjective. lol :)

Afghanistan

Partly, it seems, the war in Afghanistan, against the Taliban is about perceptions. Who perceives they are going to win? Who is actually going to win? It is almost a horrible comparison, but war, is a little like sports in certain respects, except in war, death is more of a statistically likely potential. Then also, arguably, war has more political and social implications than sports.

I hope peace rains violently on to the region. I hope this manifests as a lack of killing and death and a manifestation of calm and happiness on everyone. Perhaps that is unrealistic at this point. Perhaps eventually however, that is inevitable to a certain degree, on a certain level. Oh well; time shall tell.

Airport security will probably be more secure. If everyone had their own private jet, all of this might not be an issue… perhaps not too much more than everyone having their /private/ car. lol. What a funny thought that is to me. Everyone has private cars… why not private jets?

The Internet is… faster for most… on average, perhaps. The Internet is reaching more human beings around the world. Good. Where will this all lead in a decade?

Afghanistan is chugging along. Obama administration is maybe sort of in a transition period…

Terrorists are a problem. Islam does not always seem to be the peaceful religion it claims. The world is still a mess, a bit, perhaps.

The economy is maybe becoming a little bit better. What do we need to do as a race of humans to help bring poor humans up to a more desirable standard of living?

So why post anything?

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone… and… happy holidays, too! :)
